We wanted to use typography and the iconic Manhattan skyline to represent all of the personalities and hamlets of New York City. H&M guests could use the photobooth inside the store and their images were streamed, real-time to the flagship stores window display from embedded monitors. Guests could also express themselves by tweeting H&M related content into the window-front displays as well. "The HMNYC Project is a large-scale interactive window display that I created for H&M. The interactive sculpture was installed for 3 months in the H&M window on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue in New York City. Inspired by the unique personalities of New Yorkers, the HMNYC Project allowed users to upload personal messages via twitter and photos from the in-store photobooth in real-time.
